basically, you're still the copyright holder but you give myspace the right to some rights like putting up on their site, etc. read their terms and conditions(link 1)
"MySpace.com does not claim any ownership rights in the text, files, images, photos, video, sounds, musical works, works of authorship, or any other materials (collectively, "Content") that you post to the MySpace Services. After posting your Content to the MySpace Services, you continue to retain all ownership rights in such Content, and you continue to have the right to use your Content in any way you choose. By displaying or publishing ("posting") any Content on or through the MySpace Services, you hereby grant to MySpace.com a limited license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content solely on and through the MySpace Services."

You have partial ownership of the things you post on Myspace. Either that or no ownership. Either way, someone else cannot use it because the partial (or total) ownership would belong to Myspace and not that person. So post away, but Myspace has the rights to it.

The magazine i believe holds the credit for your ideas. But honestly speaking. Someone could in fact steal your ideas and you'd never know. And if you did. You'd sure have a hard time being able to convince someone that they didnt think it up on their own.
